DILEMA PENGAWASAN DALAM PENCEGAHAN PUNGUTAN LIAR YANG DILAKUKAN OLEH APARATUR PEMERINTAH DALAM MEWUJUDKAN GOOD GOVERNANCE

Abstract

Maladministration in public services is a serious problem that can undermine public trust in the state and lead to violations of citizens' basic rights. This study aims to analyze various forms of maladministration, their impact on society, and the role of the Indonesian Ombudsman as an independent oversight body in following up on public reports and ensuring administrative justice. The conceptual idea in the supervision of government officials aims to conduct a study on preventing elements of criminal acts of extortion to realize good governance. In examining the problem of what factors cause the ineffectiveness of the supervisory system in preventing criminal acts of extortion in public services The concept of good and responsible governance, which guarantees quality public services and meets the needs of the community, this study uses normative legal research methods, with a legislative and literature approach, scientific articles, journals and books, The results of research that need to be considered in public services are Transparency/openness and availability of information about public services that must be based on the principles of good government, such as transparency, community participation, accountability/responsibility of the implementation of public services for their performance and decisions that can increase transparency and public trust in the government and are not discriminatory towards fair and equal public services for all citizens without differentiating background, religion, or social status. By applying these principles, public services can be of higher quality and more effective in meeting the needs of the community.
